What Happened..

Little is known of the incident, but what we have learned is Deputy Ralph Floyd Peckham was killed in a motorcycle crash while pursuing a speeding vehicle in North Bennington, two miles east of the New York state line. Deputy Peckham was transported to a local hospital after the crash and he died two days later on May 27, 1935.

He had been employed for two weeks under the direction of Sheriff Clyde Peck. Deputy Peckham was 28 years old and was survived by his wife.
